In Switzerland, university studies in conservation and restoration comprise a three-year degree (Bachelor in Conservation) followed by a two-year specialised degree (Master in Conservation and Restoration).
The didactic programmes follow a curriculum that meets European standards, carried out in the four locations of the Swiss Conservation-Restoration Campus, a federal network of expertise in cultural heritage conservation. The Mural Paintings, Stuccoes and Stone Surfaces sector is active at SUPSI.
Professional profile:
The Master's programme builds upon knowledge acquired during the Bachelor's programme in conservation, and allows students to develop, through an interdisciplinary approach, a greater understanding of methods, materials, and techniques for planning and developing conservation-restoration interventions.
The Master's in Conservation-Restoration allows students to become independent practicing conservator-restorers.

Bachelor of Arts in Conservation-Restauration

Extra-occupational studies (PAP), from 4 years
Applicants with a Bachelor's degree in conservation (Bachelor's degree) or a degree deemed equivalent and demonstrate that they have developed, in parallel with their theoretical studies, good practical and manual skills in their chosen field of specialisation.
